Healthy Eating and Cooking Tips at CHOPP GREEN Cooking Classes

Workshop Series Begins Again on October 9th at g Green Design Center

Mashpee, Ma. – CHOPP GREEN returns to g Green Design Center Green Design Center this Fall. This popular cooking class series, with three stellar workshops and local food experts, will inspire the chef in all of us. g Green Design Center welcomes guest foodie aficionados with skills ranging from growing exotic peppers to creating nutritionally based meals with whole foods from the farmer’s market.

The new series will begins on Thursday, October 9th, with Nicole Cormier from Delicious Living Nutrition, and continues on Thursday, October 30th with juicing and smoothie experts from Williams Sonoma, and on Thursday, November 20th with chef Susan Ryan Ackell. All workshops run from 5:30 – 6:30pm at the g Green Design Center showroom in the North Market of Mashpee Commons. Workshops are free but there is limited space and reservations are required.

On October 9th, Nicole Cormier will share her passion for nutrition counseling and the local food movement. Come hear about her collaboration with local farmers, explore sustainable food, and learn about the benefits of local food sources.

On October 30th, experts from Williams Sonoma – Mashpee Commons, will share their take on when to juice and when to make a smoothie. All levels of juicers and smoothie makers are encouraged to attend – come share your best shakes and learn more about the best equipment and what’s the best fit for your nutritional needs.

On November 20th, chef Susan Ryan Ackell will round out the CHOPP GREEN series with a lively class of tips on how to put farmer’s market produce to use. She’ll have holiday cooking ideas and recipes for a healthy, but entertaining and delicious season of local foods.
